Get answers to common questions about Short.
Trim or allow hair to be about one-quarter inch long (roughly two to three weeks of growth). Avoid heavy exfoliation or sun tanning 48 hours before, arrive clean, and skip caffeine to minimize sensitivity.
A Short waxing appointment usually takes thirty to forty-five minutes, including consultation and aftercare. Timing varies with hair density and client comfort. New clients or those combining services should allow extra time for assessment and personalized care.
Waxing can cause temporary redness or sensitivity, especially during the first twenty-four to forty-eight hours. We use gentle waxes and soothing treatments to reduce irritation. If you have known skin conditions or allergies, inform your esthetician beforehand for tailored precautions.
You should wait until hair has grown to at least one-quarter inch—about two to three weeks—so the wax can adhere properly. Waxing over freshly shaved, very short hair is ineffective and can cause increased discomfort or missed follicles.
Our Short service covers front and back hair, full buttocks, and inner thighs. It does not include face, legs, arms, or Brazilian-style shaping beyond the described areas. Ask at booking to combine additional zones for a custom package.
Waxing is generally considered safe during pregnancy, though skin sensitivity may increase. We recommend discussing any pregnancy concerns with your healthcare provider and notifying us so we can adjust technique, comfort measures, and product choices to suit your needs.
