Get answers to common questions about Nape.
Most Nape waxes take 10–20 minutes depending on hair amount and customization. Expect a brief consultation and aftercare instructions. Plan extra time for first-time clients to discuss shaping preferences and any skin sensitivities.
Some sensitivity is normal, but discomfort is usually brief. We use quality wax, gentle pulls, and calming techniques. Avoid caffeine and sore muscle strain before your appointment; consider ibuprofen an hour prior if appropriate. Communicate with your esthetician for adjustments.
Ensure hair is at least 1/4 inch long; avoid exfoliating or tanning 48 hours prior. Clean, dry skin is best. Hydrate and wear a loose-collared top. Inform us about medications or recent treatments to prevent irritation or complications.
Most clients return every 3–6 weeks depending on individual hair growth and desired appearance. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make sessions quicker. Your esthetician will recommend an ideal schedule based on your hair texture, rate of growth, and personal preference.
Yes, often with precautions. Tell your esthetician about sensitivities, medications, or active breakouts. We can perform a patch test, use gentler waxes, and tailor aftercare to soothe skin. If you have severe conditions, your provider may advise against waxing.
Avoid sun exposure, hot showers, heavy sweating, and exfoliation for 24–48 hours. Apply a soothing aloe or antibacterial lotion as recommended. Wear loose collars to prevent friction. If redness or bumps persist beyond a few days, contact us for advice or treatment.
