Get answers to common questions about Hands.
Most clients enjoy smooth hands for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth, hormonal factors, and aftercare. Regular appointments can lengthen intervals as hair grows back finer and sparser. We recommend scheduling follow-ups every four to six weeks.
You may feel brief sting or pulling, but discomfort is usually mild and short-lived. Our estheticians use soothing techniques, skin-prep products, and quality wax to minimize pain. Post-wax calming serums and cooling compresses further reduce redness and sensitivity.
Ensure hair is at least 1/4 inch long for effective waxing. Exfoliate gently 48 hours prior and avoid moisturizers or heavy creams on treatment day. Arrive with clean, dry hands and inform us of any skin sensitivities or medications.
Mild redness, tenderness, or tiny bumps are common and usually resolve within 24–48 hours. Avoid hot water, heavy exercise, and exfoliation immediately after. Use gentle calming lotions and sunscreen to protect skin while it recovers.
Waxing can sometimes trigger ingrown hairs, especially without proper aftercare. Prevent them by exfoliating gently 48–72 hours after, keeping skin moisturized, and avoiding tight gloves or friction. For persistent ingrowns, professional treatments and topical remedies are available.
Generally safe, but inform your esthetician about allergies, retinoid use, blood thinners, or recent chemical peels. Some medications increase sensitivity and bleeding risk. We’ll patch-test when necessary and recommend alternatives if waxing isn’t suitable.
