Get answers to common questions about Chest Strip.
For best results hair should be about 1/4 inch (approximately 6 mm). This length allows the wax to grip evenly. If hair is too short we may ask you to reschedule or wait for regrowth; if too long we’ll trim slightly before waxing.
Most clients experience quick, manageable discomfort. Our estheticians use soothing techniques and quality wax to minimize pain. Sensitivity varies by person, but the sensation is brief and typically subsides within minutes. Topical numbing can be discussed if desired.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormonal factors, and skin care. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and make hair finer over time. We recommend scheduling every four to six weeks to maintain a tidy appearance.
Avoid shaving the treated area between waxing appointments because shaving removes hair at the surface and prevents proper waxing. If you must remove stray hairs, consult your esthetician first. Let hair regrow to the recommended length for the next Chest Strip service.
Do avoid sun exposure, self-tanning, and harsh exfoliation 24–48 hours before your appointment. Clean, dry skin without lotions or oils is best. If you’re using topical retinoids or blood thinners, inform us so we can advise or adjust scheduling for safety.
Immediately after the treatment you may notice mild redness or sensitivity that usually fades within hours to a day. We’ll apply soothing care and provide aftercare instructions: avoid hot baths, intense exercise, saunas, and heavy sun exposure for 24–48 hours.
