Most clients enjoy smooth cheeks for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and personal hormones. Regular sugaring sessions can gradually reduce density and extend the time between appointments as hair grows back finer and sparser.

Sugaring is generally gentler than wax because it adheres only to hair, not live skin. Many clients report less pain and irritation than waxing; discomfort is brief and manageable, especially when performed by our experienced estheticians using soft technique.

Ensure hair is at least an eighth to a quarter inch long so the paste can grip. Cleanse your face, avoid heavy creams or makeup, and skip exfoliation or retinol for 48 hours before to reduce sensitivity.

Sugaring typically reduces ingrown hairs because it removes hair in the natural growth direction and exfoliates dead skin. To minimize ingrowns, exfoliate gently between appointments, moisturize, and follow our aftercare. If you’re prone to ingrowns, we’ll customize the technique and recommend treatments.

Many clients with sensitive skin tolerate sugaring better than waxing due to gentler adhesion. However, active rosacea, open lesions, or recent facial treatments may require postponement. We’ll assess your skin during consultation and perform a patch test if needed to ensure safety.

Avoid sun exposure, heavy makeup, and hot showers for 24 to 48 hours. Use a gentle cleanser, keep skin hydrated, and apply recommended calming serums or aloe. Exfoliate lightly after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs, and schedule upkeep every three to six weeks.
