Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about 1/2 Buttocks.

We recommend hair be at least 1/4 inch long so the sugar paste can grip, ideally 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Too short hair may not remove well; trim to appropriate length one to two weeks after previous shave.

Sugaring is gentler than traditional waxing and often causes less irritation and fewer ingrown hairs. Proper technique and post-care reduce risks, though sensitive skin may experience temporary redness or bumps that typically subside within a day or two.

No — the 1/2 Buttocks service excludes the inner buttocks. We remove hair only from one external half, refining the area you specify while leaving the inner crease and other side untreated unless you book a separate service.

Most clients enjoy smooth, hair-free skin for three to six weeks, depending on individual growth cycles. Regular sugaring can thin regrowth over time, extending smooth periods and improving texture between appointments.

Arrival with clean, dry skin is best. Exfoliate gently 48 hours before, avoid heavy creams, sunburn, and retinoids for several days. Wear loose clothing to your appointment and ensure hair length is appropriate for effective removal.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy sweating, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours after treatment. Gently exfoliate after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrowns, apply soothing aloe or non-comedogenic moisturizer, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
