Get answers to common questions about Hands.
Most appointments take 10–20 minutes depending on hair amount and prep. We include skin assessment, waxing, and soothing post-care. Arrive with clean, dry hands; allow hair to be at least 1/4 inch for best results.
Some temporary redness or mild irritation is normal and usually subsides within hours to a day. We use soothing lotions and recommend cold compresses and avoiding hot showers or heavy products for 24 hours to help calm the skin and prevent inflammation.
Regrowth varies, but most clients see noticeable return in three to six weeks. With consistent waxing, hair typically grows back finer and sparser over time, extending the smooth period between appointments.
Generally yes, but clients with active skin infections, sunburn, recent chemical peels, or certain dermatologic conditions should avoid waxing. We perform a consultation and patch test when necessary to ensure safety and recommend alternatives as needed.
Waxing can cause brief discomfort during removal, but skilled technicians and quality wax minimize pain. Most clients report the sensation is quick and tolerable, and many prefer it to daily shaving because results last longer and hair thins over time.
Cleanse and dry hands, avoid lotion or oils on the day, and ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long. Exfoliating lightly 48 hours before helps prevent ingrown hairs, but skip exfoliation the day of waxing.
