Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Chest Strip.
Most Chest Strip appointments take about 15–30 minutes, depending on hair thickness and size of the area. The service includes consultation, cleansing and precise waxing. Please arrive with hair roughly 1/4 inch long for an efficient, thorough treatment.
Discomfort varies by sensitivity and hair type, but most clients report only brief stinging during removal. We use high-quality wax and skilled technique to minimize pain. Apply light breathing, avoid caffeine beforehand, and ask about topical numbing if you’re very sensitive.
Results usually last two to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle and grooming habits. Regular waxing can slow regrowth over time. For maintenance, many clients schedule touch-ups every four to six weeks for consistent appearance.
Avoid shaving immediately before your appointment — wax needs at least 1/4 inch of hair to grip. Light trimming to that length is fine. If you recently shaved, wait two to three weeks or reschedule to allow sufficient regrowth.
Mild redness, tenderness, or tiny bumps are common for a day or two. Avoid hot showers, saunas and heavy exercise for 24 hours. Use soothing aloe or cooling gel and gently exfoliate after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
Arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid heavy lotions, self-tanners or sun exposure beforehand. Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours prior, and inform us of medications or retinoid use. Our estheticians will review contraindications during your consultation.
