Trim to about 1/4 inch if hair is very long, arrive exfoliated but not freshly shaved, and avoid heavy lotions. Our staff will review contraindications and ensure comfort. Arrive a few minutes early for paperwork and consultation.
Most clients report brief discomfort during hair removal, followed by quick relief. We use high-quality wax and skilled techniques to minimize pain. Numbing creams or pain-reducing options can be discussed prior to service for sensitive clients.
Most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and individual genetics. Regular waxing can reduce regrowth thickness over time. Maintain results with gentle exfoliation and moisturizing between appointments.
Shaving between appointments will remove hair at skin level and can interfere with waxing effectiveness. If you must remove stray hairs, trim with scissors or an electric trimmer to roughly 1/4 inch. Avoid shaving to maintain longer-lasting results.
Sensitive skin, active acne, sunburn, or certain medications can increase irritation risk. Disclose any allergies, topical prescriptions, or blood-thinning medications during consultation. We perform a skin assessment and adjust products or skip service when necessary for safety.
Avoid hot baths, intense workouts, and sun exposure for 24-48 hours. Use gentle cleanser, fragrance-free moisturizer, and regular exfoliation after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Contact us if you notice prolonged redness, swelling, or signs of infection.
