Get answers to common questions about Photofractional (IPL + ResurFx) for Chest.
Most clients require three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Treatment builds on previous results, and improvements in texture, tone, and collagen production continue gradually for several months after the final session.
Patients generally report a warm, snapping sensation and mild discomfort. We apply topical numbing when appropriate and adjust settings for comfort. Post-treatment redness and sensitivity are common but usually subside within a few days.
This Photofractional treatment addresses sun damage, age spots, broken capillaries, uneven pigmentation, acne and surgical scars, fine lines, and rough texture on the chest. It combines vascular and pigment correction with fractional resurfacing for layered improvement.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks prior, discontinue retinoids and certain topical acids as instructed, and arrive with clean, moisturized skin. We'll review medications and medical history to minimize risks and optimize your treatment plan.
Downtime is minimal for most patients. Expect redness and mild swelling for one to three days, possible pinpoint crusting for up to a week, and gradual improvement in tone and texture over several weeks.
Side effects are uncommon but can include temporary redness, swelling, blistering, or pigment changes. Risk is higher with recent sun exposure or certain skin types. A thorough consultation and proper aftercare reduce complications and ensure safe, effective results.
