Most clients require 3–6 sessions spaced four to six weeks apart depending on pigmentation severity and skin type. Your provider will customize a plan during consultation, and results improve gradually with possible maintenance sessions.

Most clients experience mild snapping sensations and brief warmth during treatment that are generally well tolerated. Topical numbing can be applied if needed. Any redness or swelling typically subsides within hours to a few days.

Common side effects include temporary redness, mild swelling, and brief darkening of treated spots before flaking. Serious complications are rare. Follow aftercare instructions and avoid sun exposure to reduce risks and ensure proper healing.

Results for treated pigmentation can be long-lasting, but sun exposure and natural aging may produce new spots. Many clients schedule annual or biannual maintenance sessions and maintain strict sun protection to prolong results.

IPL effectively treats superficial brown spots, sun damage, and certain vascular spots. It is less effective for deep pigmentation, melasma, or tattooed areas. A consultation will determine if IPL is the best option for your concerns.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks, discontinue retinoids or bleaching agents as advised, and skip waxing or harsh exfoliation on hands. Inform your provider of medications or photosensitivity before treatment.
