Frequently Asked Questions

Most clients require 6–8 sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart, depending on hair growth cycles, hair color and skin type. Maintenance appointments may be recommended annually or biannually to address any regrowth.

Most clients feel mild discomfort, often described as snapping or warm sensations. We use cooling technology and can offer topical numbing on request to increase comfort, especially for sensitive skin or longer sessions covering the entire arm.

Shave the treatment area 24–48 hours before and avoid waxing or plucking for at least four to six weeks. Protect skin from recent sun exposure, avoid self-tanners and discontinue certain topical retinoids or acids as advised at consultation.

Side effects are usually mild and temporary — redness, swelling, or slight pigment changes. Risks increase with recent sun exposure, improper aftercare, or unsuitable devices. Our clinicians assess skin type and discuss risks, reducing complications with proper protocols.

Laser is most effective on dark, coarse hair because it targets pigment. Light or fine hair responds less predictably, though advanced devices and multiple sessions may still reduce growth. A consultation will determine expected outcomes for your hair type.

Initial shedding or reduction may appear after the first few sessions, with significant smoothness typically by the third or fourth treatment. Full results develop over the complete series as hair follicles are progressively disabled; individual timelines vary.
