Get answers to common questions about Microdermabrasion - Legs.
During your session a specialist will gently resurface the skin using a handheld microdermabrasion device. Sessions typically last 30–45 minutes. You may feel light abrasion and warmth; mild redness can occur but usually fades within a few hours to a day.
Most clients see improvement after one treatment, but optimal results typically require a series of 4–6 sessions spaced two to four weeks apart. Your provider will create a personalized plan based on scarring, discoloration severity, and skin response.
Most people tolerate the treatment well; sensations are often described as light scratching or vibration. No anesthesia is usually required. If you have sensitive skin, your technician can adjust intensity or apply topical soothing agents to enhance comfort.
Candidates include those with mild scarring, sun damage, rough texture, or uneven pigmentation on the legs. It suits most skin types but is not recommended for active skin infections, open wounds, or severe rosacea; consult our clinician for assessment.
Aftercare includes gentle cleansing, applying soothing moisturizers, and avoiding sun exposure or harsh exfoliants for several days. Use broad-spectrum sunscreen when exposed. Avoid hot baths, tanning, or vigorous workouts for 24–48 hours to reduce irritation and support healing.
Side effects are generally mild and include temporary redness, dryness, or slight flaking. Rarely, hyperpigmentation or sensitivity may occur, especially without proper sun protection. Our technicians screen for contraindications and provide post-care guidance to minimize risks.
